How Stephen Cohn can help you:

I am an Emmy winning Composer of film and Concert Music. I have been a Sibelius (notation program) tutor and engraver for the last ten years. I became enthusiastic about the program from its very early versions in 1999, was one of the first professionals in this area to do so and soon became a Sibelius Ambassador. I was the first to teach Sibelius at UCLA Extension. The Sibelius Company began to recommend me to composers seeking help with program in Southern California. So I soon found myself doing engraving work and tutoring for many LA composers including Lalo Schifrin, David Benoit, Mark Watters, Lee Holdridge, Jeff Lorber, Vince Mendoza, Dorrance Stalvey, Eduardo Del Barrio, Daniel May, Eric Lindsborg (Don Davis’s score the Matrix Game), Michael Tavera and David Newman – and many outside So Cal such as Gordon Getty and Vivian Adelberg Rudow. Of course, I have done all my own chamber music and film scores in Sibelius including the music that has recently been reviewed in the Huffington Post and other journals in the USA and Europe.
My work with Lee Holdridge, who is a prolific composer and arranger, has included engraving scores and parts for artists such as Placido Domingo, Neil Sedaka, Jim Curry, Ronan Tynan and many Pops Orchestras around the world.
I have not publicized this much as I have been focused on my own composing and have found that my Sibelius work for a few clients was sufficient. However, at this point I would like to find a few more composers or students who would like my help with engraving their scores or would like tutoring in the software. I have a website for my Sibelius work: http://sites.google.com/site/scohnengraving/
Please feel free contact me directly or to look at the site if you have questions about Sibelius or would like my help with engraving or would like to learn to use or improve your skills with Sibelius.
